The Newark Star-Ledger reports that offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has emerged as the favorite to be the Jets' next head coach.
Schottenheimer, who interviewed Thursday, has apparently passed Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo atop owner Woody Johnson's wish list. Spagnuolo interviewed Saturday and reportedly "wasn't as prepared as one would think".
