People will complain about just about anything.
Typically, any coach good enough to land a coordinator position did so because he was considered a step above positions coaches. Even if guys like Gibbs or Pendergast didn't succeed as coordinators, there's a good chance they'll succeed as positions coaches.
These hires don't excite me, but I'm willing to wait and see before I pass judgment.
