[QUOTE=aarowheadnation;5505799]Ok....after collecting my thoughts. Here are a few theories I have spurred by this episode.

Makes sense... and I'm hoping against all hope that Walt is one of the passangers in the back of the plain. I'm sure he's not... but there's always that outside chance... pleasebringbackwalt,pleasebringbackwalt,pleaseplease..

He will be one of the true protectors of the island.
We'll see about this. I'm not totally convinced he's going to be an omniscient being just yet... very strong possibility. You could be dead on, and it would make total sense. For some reason I'm still not totally sold on this yet... don't know why, just a weird feeling...

I had this same thought at the end of last season when Ben mentioned that Locke had to go back too... I thought, wow, just like Christain... I wonder if there was anyone on 815 going "baaaaaaack?" I sort of hope not. I hope this is the first time something like this has happened. Takes some of the wind out of it for me to think that it's happened before.

I think you're right. Probably 60s or 70s. But the purge happened on December 19, 1992. If they are "stuck" in time (not jumping around in flashes) then they've got a lot of ground to cover between the 60s/70s and 1992. I'm very interested to see how all this plays out. I'm guessing they may have more involvement in "the incident" than the purge. I can't wait to find out!!! So exciting!!

Interesting...

So, do you think Ben makes it back to the island? And if so, do you think this is how he's able to do it? By Ben's own admission, he's not supposed to be able to return.

My heart sank when Ben said he had to go fulfill a promise he made to an old friend... I hope Penny's okay... I really like her and Des's story. Of course, if she is dead, maybe that's what gets Des back to the island???

That's all for now. I'll probably think of more.
Good post. Nice thoughts. I would like to add something that jumped out at me as very interesting...

Jack asks Ben, "How can you read?" (or something like that.) and Ben says, "My Mother taught me." Yes, very funny Ben. You're so clev... wait??? Your MOTHER??? Your dead mother taught you to read?? The one you killed in childbirth?? Interesting....

I hope the losties have landed in a time where we get to see more of little Ben's story. And of course... little Charlotte, and maybe even little Annie. Oh, and BRING BACK WALT!!

Great episode.
