Well Tom Brady won a SB his first year as a starter surrounded by some pretty ordinary guys.
Whether you want to compare Cassel's first year with Brady's first year, or compare Brady with a great cast and Cassel with a great cast, Brady comes out miles-and-miles ahead. From my perspective we have an average NFL QB. Maybe he'll turn out better than that, but in my mind that is nothing to be too excited about.
