You keep acting like it's some small fact that 100% of 3-4 OLBs played DE in college. So if you claim that Curry has a strong likelihood of succeeding as a 3-4 OLB in spite of the fact that NFL teams almost never use OLBs to play 3-4 OLB, then you're the one who's smoking something.

And if you're suggesting that Curry should be taken at #3 as an ILB, then that means you have no understanding of positional value. ILBs in a 3-4 are role players. They are not guys you spend your top 5 pick on. Why do you think Kendrell Bell was a stud in Pittsburgh but a dud in KC?

Aaron Curry is only a top 5 pick if he's going to play in a 4-3 defense. As a 3-4 OLB, he is extremely raw and 8 NFL teams say that 4-3 OLBs don't make good 3-4 OLBs. On the inside, you are wasting his versatility by putting him into a role situation. From a positional value standpoint, the only LB worth taking in a top 5 is an OLB that can rush the passer CONSISTENTLY. And players like Everett Brown and Robert Ayers and Aaron Maybin have spent their entire college career rushing the passer. They are not better players than Curry, but in a 3-4, they will make a far greater impact and as pass rushers (which is the primary role of a 3-4 OLB), they are far better than Curry is.

And of course, from a pure impact standpoint, BJ Raji carries far more value than Curry. The nose tackle is the most important player on the field.

You are making the suggestion that the Chiefs force Curry into a role that goes against his strengths. And you're the one pissing in the wind, not me. Feel free to post a poll on the Planet and see how many people think Aaron Curry will be a successful 3-4 OLB.
Raji, huh? You take a pot head #3 over all? He's not even that great a NT. Just the highest rated one in this draft. One with a drug problem.

But by your postings it's obvious your a pothead too. Otherwise, you would have understood some of my posts, and not repeat yourself over and over. You're still doing it, even though I pointed it out to you.

See....that didn't take long.
