The NFL needs to fix that -- I'm waiting for the day when more teams will let the time expire and jump back in at a more reasonable cost.
Pioli can always sign Cassel during the season. I believe if Pioli thinks that Matt's his guy, he'll be glad to pay him what he's worth. The Chiefs are in a win-win situation.
