I'd rather see Iowa and some states secede in a spotty checkered fashion so we could be like Swiss cheese. Texas would just be another Canada. What's fun about that?

Oh, and if a state secedes it doesn't have to be permanent...they could always come back ( once the Feds heel). Afterall, it's a voluntary union and I'm sure they'd be welcomed back.
