There's some merit to your post here, mecca, but at the same time there have only been a handful of QBs, at best, who were able to elevate other players to a level beyond reasonable expectations.
If Pioli is right about Cassel, then this team might well be a 5 win team.
Anything beyond that, especially with the O-Line he will be playing behind, will be a firmly position him as a franchise QB.
