You know things are bad when the highlight on the Royals website says "Teahen breaks up perfect game."
During the really dark days, I would root for, in order: the perfect game to be ruined, the no-hitter to be ruined, then the shutout to be ruined. And I would countdown until they would get their 42nd win to avoid being the worst team in modern baseball. I figured everything else was gravy.
The way they are playing right now makes it hard not to start thinking that way again.
