Was in a discussion with some Iranians at the local coffee shop here in Los Angeles and they said about the same thing you say above. I asked if that would turn them against us and pro-government. He said it would have the opposite effect, in his opinion. He said that the thugs that are beating people on the street feel as if they have to answer to no one and if their leaders were bombed it would embolden the people in a way that the Iranian government couldn't stop.

Of course he also said he expects Israel to bomb Iran in the next 24 hours while there is an ongoing resistence on the ground so who knows?
