I know you're joking, but I do feel more comfortable with Thigpen as a backup rather than Croyle, Ingram or the recently departed Huard. He was thrust into action last season on a moment's notice and I think he performed admirably. Granted, it wasn't lights out, but it was solid enough to where I'm confident the offense won't be stuck in reverse whenever he has to step in for Cassel.
(Although with him no longer being able to eye-**** Gonzalez on every play, that might not be entirely true...

)
