Cost of the console was not the problem.. The games sales are what kills Sony.. Sony has been outselling 360 by a small margin for about a year now from what I read online, but their software sales and accessory sales suck compared to 360?? How do you sell more units but less games if people are not buying it for a bluray player only??
PS3 would have still lost the battle because companies were jumping the ship on exclusivity because PS3 was such a bitch to program games for.. With or without bluray, Sony would have lost to the sheer inferior number of quality games compared to the 360.. Games sales show this, even though PS3 has been outselling them..
