I have a top 10 favorite albums list, but that list wouldn't be the same as a desert island list for me. My desert island list would need to be inclusive of more genres and also take length into account. Something like:
David Bowie - Sound & Vision (a 3-disc box set; cheats!)
Ayreon - The Human Equation
Opeth - Still Life
Agalloch - The Mantle
Tech N9ne - Everready: The Religion
The Lord Weird Slough Feg - Traveller
Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
Camel - Mirage
Kamelot - Epica
The Beatles - White Album
