We dont play the Packers once, let alone twice, so what good does that do us? Based on his sack rate against everyone else the Vikings have played, if Allen was in KC right now he would have about 6 sacks. Except that sack rate is based on his performance with the big ol Williams boys in the middle of his defensive line, which would not be the case here. So his number would drop even lower.

We could be nice and say it would only take 1 sack off his total, so that would leave him with 5. A whole 5 sacks. That is 1.5 more than Tamba Hali has.

Is anyone going to argue that we should have spent $70M on a guy who would be giving us 5 sacks one year after his deal?

And before anyone says Allen having a lack of production must be opening things up for other people, other than their games against the Packers the Vikings arent getting sacks at any better rate than they were a year ago.
