Maybe it is becasue I am an outsider looking in but i could never understand how anyone could get mad at a columnist who is paid to give his opinion. Disagree with it sure but get mad at the author? IMHO Whitlock is the opposite of the race-baiting Smith, he seems to be an equal-opportunity critic/advocate regardless of the color.
