You still ate there because you'd been doing so most your life. You hoped it would get better. Now say that the pizza place you loved came under new management recently. And your next visit, the new manager came out to your table and promised you that he would do his best to improve the quality of pizza, and make that pizza the best in town again. You said great, I've been coming this long, show me what you've got. But after a few months, the pizza quality didn't improve. On several visits, it was actually much worse. Then you get a flyer in the mail. It's customer appreciation day at the pizza place. Come in for a free order of breadsticks. After suffering through terrible pie after terrible pie, you'd just about had enough. But you decided you'd give it one more try. You get there and take your seats. And you order your free order of breadsticks, but the waiter tells you they're out of breadsticks. When your pizza arrives, the order was wrong and it was cold. You ask to see the manager. When he finally shows up at your table, you tell him he deserves to be fired. He flips you off and walks away.

Were you in the wrong?

Anybody that goes to Customer Appreciation Day at a fifth rate pizza joint is asking for it.

They should have flipped you off as soon as you walked-in.
