It's funny how the songs written for various TV stars always tend to have a vocal range of about 4 notes.
Of course, the upside of that is that they're very singable by the general public. If I'm having trouble hitting the high note in the Housemartins' song, "The World's On Fire", then I can back off and sing something by David Soul or Don Johnson and feel good about myself again.
(If you've never heard that Housemartins song, check it out and tell me if you've ever heard a male sing a higher note than the one that's hit in that song. If you have, you must be a dog.)
