I had Christmas night dinner at a hotel in Toledo and *that* was on the buffet line. Needless to say, it stayed in thet steam tray rather than going on my plate. Ugh.
For me, it is and always has been seafood. Even as a child, I couldn't stand the thought of eating it and used to have knock-down-drag-out fights with my mother over it. There's something about texture of fish, as you place it in your mouth and start to chew....repellant. I can actually feel my gorge rising as I type this.
I'm in my mid 40's now and I know I'll never get over it. It's a psychological foible that's beyond all reason & common sense. I can't even contemplate eating any of it: fish, oysters, lobster, clams, shrimp, octopii...the whole gamut. That's an experience I'll never partake in.
