Whether Crennel is the best guy or not is debatable, but I think it's safe to say he'd be a much, much more qualified hire than Pendergast. I mean, shit, we've had a 4-3 coordinator running the 3-4 all year.

Although in the end, I think these coaching hires are primarily window dressing, and the real improvement, if there's going to be any, will come from personnel moves. I have always thought - and will always think - that talent wins games in the end. Regardless of who the coaches are. Guys can sometimes be coached up (or down), but I've always believed that at the end of the day, great players make great coaches.
