Dorsey was the best player not named "Flowers" on the unit, I'd give him an A- even with only a single sack.

Gilberry I'd give a C. Role players on a 30th ranked defense don't get graded higher than that in my world.

Edwards gets an F. The fact that he's a below-average player forced to start by circumstance doesn't give him extra credit in my book. He was the initial level of a series of holes straight up the gut of the unit, followed by Mays and Williams and topped by Brown.

Hali I'd probably shift to an A-. He was the player in the front 7 opponents targetted the most and he still had what I thought was a good year.

Studebaker gets a C. Role player on a bad defense gets a nod for a couple of big plays.

Belcher gets a C or a D. All these Bs are ridiculous. This unit was 30th in yards, 29th in points for crissakes.

Vrabel I'd give a D. He wasn't effective rushing the passer and he missed too many games.

Mays and Williams get Ds. Again, the fact that they're at best average players forced to start by circumstance doesn't give them extra credit in my book. They were the core of a very bad defense, and I believe no small part of the reason it was that bad, but I give them slight credit because I think their play could conceivably be better were it not for Edwards sucking in front of them and Brown behind.

I'd actually leave McGraw's ranking where it was. I think he actually played average ball for an NFL safety.

Flowers I'd give an A, but Carr I'd drop to a B.

Mike Brown deserves an F, no matter how you slice it.
