I'm not making excuses. They came in with a short amount of time, no familiarity with the current personnel/players and no staff or scouting network setup. You think that that is the recipe for a kick ass draft? However, they got two starters out of it, one being Succop, who, besides being the guy that ends up scoring the most points on the team, finally gives us solidity at the kicker position - something we truly haven't had since Nick/Mort. And while Jackson didn't have a Pro Bowl level season, he sure as shit looked better than, say, Sims, Siavii, Freeman and a boatload of DL Carl picks that were absolute turds.
And they still doubled the wins of the previous regime. In one season.
