Make no mistake about it, he just wants this team to win. I'm confident he'll be the first person to eat his words and exclaim his happiness should he be wrong. Nothing indicates to this point that he is.
I don't take sides in these little board battles that go on, but I'm confident in my assessment of OTW. I've talked with him many times about this stuff.
This isn't a shot at saccopoo either. I totally agree with the rationale of the deal. I just didn't like that it was made in the first place. I'm just clarifying for a friend who isn't here to do it himself right now.

I like OTW as well. I think he's been a bit over the top on this one ever since it happened though because of the potential of getting a guy like Sanchez in the draft. (Which I would have had no problem with either, but Cassel and Vrabel for a second seemed a better alternative to a rookie QB with a first at the time - at least to me. I wasn't thrilled with the Jackson pick, but we needed help at that position at that time as well. I thought it was about as good as we could have done at that point and still consider it to be a decent transaction now.)
I don't see Cassel having a top ten season next year either, but there should be marked improvements. Still way too many holes on the roster, even with an 80% hit draft this time around. There's no way that we'll be able to get improvements at TE and WR in totality with all of the other glaring holes on this roster considering the players in this draft. (C, OL, S, ILB, OLB)
If he hits 3500, 60%, 25 TD, 15 Int, 75 rating with Charles having a full season like he did in the last eight games, I'll be pleased as punch.
