Jay Cutler threw for 3,666 yards with 27 TDs, 26 INTs and a QB rating of 76.8. He was the 21st ranked quarterback.
Matt Cassel threw for 2,924 yards with 16 TDs, 16 INTs, and a QB rating of 69.9. He was the 25th ranked quarterback.
They both sucked. The difference is that Cassel's suckiness cost the Chiefs a second round draft choice, whereas Cutler's suckiness cost the Bears two first-round picks and a third-round pick. Chicago got Denver's fifth-round pick along with Cutler.
There is no comparison. Chicago paid WAY TOO MUCH for Cutler. If the Chiefs had given up 3 high draft choices (including two first-rounders) for a quarterback who sucked anywhere near the way those two guys sucked, CHIEFSPLANET would have melted down by now, and Scott Pioli would have been lynched.
