(12:01 AM): Withdrawal deadline on tap … Underclassmen who filed paperwork with the NFL for entry to the 2010 draft have until 4 PM ET to withdraw their applications if they have not yet signed with an agent.
Shrine week kicks off … The first of the three ‘big’ post-season college games gets underway later today in Orlando with the player weigh-ins for the East-West Shrine game. And while the Shine game tends to play second fiddle to next week’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, this year’s Shrine rosters include some excellent prospects for the 2010 draft. Heading the Shrine list is Mississippi DE Greg Hardy who was arguably the best pure pass rusher in college football over the past several years when he was healthy. Other intriguing players to watch in Orlando include Des Willie Young of North Carolina State and Wisconsin’s O’Brien Schofield, BYU TE Dennis Pitta, Baylor MLB Joe Pawelek, OGs Sergio Render of Virginia Tech, Shelley Smith of Colorado State, and Texas Tech’s Brandon Carter, Utah OT Zane Beadles, Arizona DT Earl Mitchell, safeties Darrell Stuckey of Kansas, Justin Woodall of Alabama, and Kam Cancellor of Virginia Tech, CB Devin Ross of Arizona and Bowling Green WR Freddie Barnes. Meanwhile, Western Illinois CB Patrick Stoudamire heads a solid small-school contingent which also includes QBs John Skelton of Fordham and Matt Nichols of Eastern Washington. Each team in the Shrine game has also traditionally included a player from Canada and this year‘s northern reps are C Matt Morencie from Windsor and Regina WR Jordan Sisco. Here are the full rosters for the East and West squads at this year’s Shrine game. The actual game will be played Saturday at 3 PM ET with TV coverage by ESPN2.
