Just to prove a point to all you whiners, I tested this yesterday.
My son stood about 10 feet away with an RPD in the backyard. I said "Go" and he started shooting me in the chest. At that point, I jumped the 10 feet and knifed him in the face. It shocked me too, but it's legit. After he respawned, we went and got some ice cream.
