What the kid actually did wasn't dangerous, IMO.
However, Rainman makes an excellent point - kids are ****ing reeruned.
This one didn't do anything exceedingly stupid, but that's ultimately just defying the odds. I'm fairly certain that I'd have said something dumb if given the opportunity.
It wouldn't have taken much for the entire situation to have gotten ugly had that kid just popped off the first thought that went streaking through his head. Children are not known for their impulse control.
In the end, it's not what the kid did that bothered me, but what he could have done given the position he was put in.
