Dating is only overrated if you put to much thought and emotion into it. I did the same thing when I first started. Something wouldn't work out and I'd get depressed....maybe she doesn't like me.....or maybe I'm never going to find someone who will.
Then I figured out that it ****ing doesn't matter if she likes me or not. I'm not married to her....and I'm not stuck to her. If she's not digging it....I move on and have fun. That's what dating is....it's all about having fun. If you meet someone you can have a future with because of it....even better. If not.....no biggie.
And no....dating is not all about sex either. If you want sex.....find a friend with benefits and then go dating.
