The verisimilitude is on point, certainly. It is no documentary, not with a plot that revolves around a disappearance/possible murder. But it feels authentic 100% of the time.
Another thing: imagine that MoHillbilly and his family were running a meth trade. Scary right? It certainly plays off as scary on this film.
