He needed the throw that ball a step before that frame even, just before Chambers is making the break. The backpedaling safety should've made for an easy read on the quick slant, especially when the LB broke for the back in the flat. It was an easy throw for a legitimate NFL QB to make. Even a guy with an Orton level physical skill-set will be intelligent enough to read and make that throw.
But Cassel doesn't do that...ever. He waits until he sees a guy running uncovered. He's has a High School qb mentality because he never played enough football in college or the pros to re-define 'open' for this level.
He's a disaster. He's an absolute disaster.

There was another throw to Finley in that game that was even tighter. LB had his back to Rodgers, and AR literally put it inches above his shoulder and Finley made the catch.
