I'll half-ass it, but only because I think he's missing Clayton's point here.
I don't believe it's being suggested that McCluster is a bust or awful player. Only that the kid was taken what, 34th overall? And in the pre-season he's averaging 6 yards/catch and has been a relative non-factor in the running game (oh yeah, and he'll probably die soon).
If McCluster's a 4th round pick, he's a very nice find. But as a very high 2nd rounder, we need more than we have gotten so far. There was no judgment made as to his ability to succeed going forward, only a statement that the early returns aren't great.
And he's right.
Arenas is a closer call as he's been an impact player for us, but I think we reached for him and could have addressed our NT concerns instead, while still getting Arenas with the Brokaki pick. Arenas is an opportunity cost guy. So I agree with his conclusion (that we need a lot out of him), but not with his reasoning (that he's not our #2 corner).
