I also find it funny that Hootie goes on and on patting himself on the back for changing his views with added information (aka his flip flop on DMC) but when Dane steps up and owns his misfires and is celebrating with the rest of us he is called "tucking his tail between his legs"

Frankly, I bet that Hootie did absolutely no research to come to his flip flop, but rather decided that he just wanted to argue with the "drafturbators".
