Whatever happened to Clark Hunt saying that if we wanted to compete for a championship we had to draft and develop our own franchise quarterback?

That was with Herm. Herm believed in drafting a developing every position, including the QB. He took one in the third round the first year he was here. He looked closely at Matt Ryan a couple years ago, and it would have been interesting to see what happened if the Falcons took Dorsey. It was my opinion that the Chiefs would have taken Ryan. Again, just my opinion.
If he were still with the Chiefs last offseason, I imagine that he would have thought hard about Sanchez.
Since then, Clark has a three time Super Bowl winning GM, who has hired two three time Super Bowl winning coordinators, and a head coach that has been to the Super Bowl. I expect him to consider their advice above reproach.
