Also, if the motive in taking DMC was to replace JC, that seems like a wasted pick to me. What is the point of drafting a position that was already adequately filled when we have so many holes elsewhere?

I would not doubt that DMC was originally brought in to be the slot receiver. When he was at Ole Miss, they played him at receiver for the first 5 or 6 games of the year last year before they moved him back to the RB position. I don't know if I can find the quote, but I am sure I read Houston Nutt commented that he should have never taken him off of the RB spot. I wonder if the Chiefs are finding out the same thing?
In any event, McCluster is one hell of a good RB. Heck, we saw some great runs out of him in preseason. And he had some unbelievable runs at Ole Miss.
And don't get me wrong, I love Charles. I just don't think the brass at Arrowhead will leave their high 2nd round pick in the shed any longer than they have to.
And I am not really saying the Chiefs should trade Charles. But something is just not adding up at the RB spot when the 2nd best RB in the NFL can not get on the field... or that we even needed to bring in 2 legit guys at that same position. Jones isn't going anywhere, and neither is McCluster. Odd man out is... Charles.
