I'd NEVER punish the wait staff for a poor menu item. That line of thinking doesn't really make much sense to me.
Yeah, now that I think about it, I have called out the manager when I've gotten poor food. But, I probably have not bothered on occasion and taken out my anger on the wait staff. Perhaps I should re-evaulate that behavior.
