Ever. I'm a fan of deep dish pizza and the general perception among the student body is that Papa Del's is the best deep dish pizza around. However, each time I go there I am appalled by their terrible service and unbelievable prices. Many waiters do not provide good service at all, will ignore you, and chat with fellow coworkers at the bar instead. Once I went on a not so busy night, they seated us upstairs and we ordered a pizza that was supposed to take ~45min. The waitress basically forgot about us, and we were waiting for almost 2 hours! and she did not care at all. After you get your pizza they rarely come back to ask how the food is or if you need a refill on your drink. The wait times are so long and if you go on a weekend forget about getting your pizza in a reasonable amount of time. If they mess up your order they will not refund you but shrewdly offer to cook you a new pizza while you wait another hour and a half! The place is also dirty and falling apart, the bathrooms are disgusting as well. But, if and when you do get the right pizza you ordered, chances are it will be really good. So it is always a gamble when going there. If you do go, don't go during a peak hour, or only do so if you're not starving already and can afford to wait a long time.
