OK, let me rephrase, do you have a modem and a wireless router where you live? Your laptop might be connected to your neighbor's unprotected network, which could be the same network your 360 is connecting to. Shitty signal and crap bandwidth = lag, which you wouldn't really notice on your laptop because you probably don't do anything that requires a lot of bandwidth or low pings. Did you have a wireless adapter on your old 360 or did you have an ethernet cable connected to it?
