You do not have a WEP key because you don't have a wireless network. Your Xbox is finding your neighbors' wireless networks which are protected by passwords so people can't leach off of them. Unless you go and ask one of your neighbors for their password, you're shit out of luck.
Your options are to do what you did with your old Xbox (connect it to your modem with an ethernet cable). You do remember how it was connected before it broke, right?
Or go out and buy a wireless router and set up YOUR OWN NETWORK.
