It is interesting that someone would talk about icing techniques, because I think there is some art to it. It is kind of like when you yell "Noonan!" at a guy getting ready to putt...
When Haley called the time out, he did it at the time then Lindell was able to kick the ball and have made the field goal. He was then all excited about the kick and having made it. When you realize that it didn't count, there is a let down and you start asking yourself if you can be clutch again and nail the 50+ plus yarder in the blowing wind.
Chan on the other hand, has the worst freezing technique ever...He runs down the sideline doing the "T" sign before Succup is even close to being ready.
You run the risk on Haley's technique of the kicker missing it and being reinvigorated with the 2nd chance...
