There isn't a 'consensus.' There are a myriad of instances where anything, anything at all out of him could have helped the team greatly, and we got a shit load of 2 yard passes to people shoelaces, and checkdowns well short of a 1st down [on 3rd and 4th] with wide open alternatives, and wildly inaccurate 'deep' throws of 7-10 yards.
And for every poster who 'hates without ration or reason' theres a ball washer who lays out the intricate calculus why this doesn't count and that doesn't count and really Cassel is the mathematical equivalent of a fetus [a 28 yo fetus] playing his first 'real' game just today. And everything that goes right is proof that he's the foundation of our entire future, and he's out doing Brady, Favre, Elway and Sid Gilman in garbage time [which is just the same as a game winning drive in the waning moments of the SB doncha know].
My long-held stance is 'I pray daily that he improves, and despair weekly that he hasn't, and fear continuously that he never will.'
He's playing much better today, tho.
