Terrible idea. I can get on board with not giving all division winners a home playoff game, like the NFC West champ this year, but there is NO way you can exclude a division winner from the post-season. See the Cardinals 9-7 "worst playoff team ever" run to the Super Bowl.

I would be all for a division winner with a 7-9 or 8-8 record having to go on the road in the first round, but not allowing them in the playoffs is a terrible idea.
