In 2004 KSU lost three games by way of ST's play. Sproles fumbled 3 punts in the KU game that year, and Jermaine Moreira attempted to field a bouncing punt in the CU game at home that year, in the 4th quarter with less that 3 minutes to play, got crushed, fumbled. CU marched in for the wining score. And we all know who the ST coach/guru/overseer was that season.
Saul's criticism is warranted. And if our fanbase wasn't so damn sentimental about him, we could be moving forward. Instead we are stuck with a horrible coaching staff that recruits just well enough to be middle of the pack in the Big 12 North.
Shouldn't we aspire for more?

I can't disagree with that.
The problem is not so much with Snyder the Coach, but that quality coaches don't want to work for or with the man. By quality, I mean guys that can both recruit and coach/teach. To be completely honest, a Coach Snyder led Staff hasn't had a top-notch quality assistant on hand since Bret Bielema left, and that was 7 fkn years ago! I knew we were in shitloads of trouble when Coach had to "get the band back together" in order to assemble the staff. Who came back? Former players who couldn't get a gig elsewhere, and retread Coaches with no upside.
I loves me some Coach Snyder, but he needs to find a QUALITY replacement, and quick. The Program needs to move forward, and that means without HCBS. jmho
