If you look at a common factor in the poundings they've taken (including the 1st Denver game) they were all division opponents. I've said all along the running game is primarily a lot of smoke and mirrors (misdirection, draws etc.) and the talent of Jamal Charles, but the blocking is not consistently great. When you play against a team that studies you in the offseason and knows your tendencies (division opponents) it's simply a matter of playing sound assignment football for them. The run game has looked 10 x better against non-division opponents including those with fairly solid running defenses (S.F. & Tenn). For that reason I'd be surprised if Baltimore shuts us down the way the 'fade did today.
