But today is proof positive that Cassel is NOT the answer. He will NOT be a franchise quarterback. He simply doesn't have the ability or the intelligence that is required. He never really progressed this season; he just managed to not shit himself against the NFC West.
Can we all just agree that he's not the answer? Please?
I don't agree, he was given a game plan that was destined to fail. I said elsewhere that Weis checked out when he accepted the job in Florida. His heart wasn't in the job and most likely just wanted to leave making a statement.
Cassel is not the #1 QB in the league but he is a good QB and can work well for KC. Those that want to hate him for the game today are overlooking the Weis factor as well as the fact that the Chiefs played against 17 other people on the field all day long. Penalties that should have been called but weren't and penalties called that were pure BS.
The NFL decided before the game who they wanted to win and the game was called to expedite the plan of the league office.
