A cop chooses to wear a badge, getting shot at is a hazard that comes with it. Cops know this going into it. They have an extra responsibility to make sure they don't kill innocents. And if a cop does kill an innocent, the LEO should be held fully responsible, and face the full punishment allowed by law.
