I haven't seen anything that would so far lead me to believe that he would be. He'll presumably be in the league longer, but that to me means that he might have had a longer mediocre career here. There is, however, a greater chance he's able to elevate his game. So in that sense he'd be a better option.
It might actually work out better for KC in the long run, however, if they're able to do what you and I surmise, which is Cassel bridging the gap between the building years and the QBotF, whoever he might be.
But I'm also not completely against the idea of bringing in another vet, as long as it's somebody along the lines of Brees or Cutler. Those trades seemed to work out pretty well (although I completely expect Cutler to cost the Bears the NFC Championship tomorrow).
The trick is finding a team with either the depth at the position to make the trade (Eggo...) or stupid enough to make it (Dungver...).
Which leaves you with choices between a guy like Cassel or a guy like Sanchez.
