I think the highest rated comments in the youtube link pretty much say it all.
The guy was trying to ambush Mike.
He served his time, let it go. Doesn't matter if he wants to hear about how the dogs are doing or not.
Nobody is arguing that Mike is a good guy here. He served his time. Let it go.
