I don't subscribe to the whole "he did his time, let it go" line of thought. Yes, he paid his debt as far as the criminal justice system is concerned, but that doesn't absolve him from judgment in the court of public opinion. X number of years in jail doesn't erase the deed, regardless of the crime. Besides, by choosing to continue to live a celebrity life, he has chosen to expose himself to additional public scrutiny.
That being said, I find the video to be sensationalistic crap. You could probably put any celebrity in that situation and ask the most casual question and get the same response 90% of the time.
As for him getting the key to a city, especially one the size of Dallas, that's just a testimonial to how fucked up this country is.
