Look out, here comes Kansas St. the Wildcats, left for dead after starting conference play 1-4, have come roaring back, winning five in a row and taking down 8th ranked Texas last night in Austin. That was their first road win over a top ten team since 1994 and could not have come at a better time. They’re playing their best basketball when it matters most. And it’s easy to see why. Frank Martin. America’s fiercest coach. No, America’s fiercest male. And he has saved a season that look to be slipping away through the sheer force of his will and personality.

That, and the fact, that he has JRIB karma coming out his ears. I don’t know how it works or why it works, I just know that good things happen to cats who come on my show. I don’t control it; it’s much bigger than me. I just know it’s true. Take Frank; he became the first ever, correspondent to need a second day to finish what he started, just last week. And trust me; we were all better for it. It was Frank Martin who demanded that we all man up; that while life isn’t easy, it is fair. And who do you think led the ‘Cats with 22 last night. Rodney McGruder. That’s right, the same McGruder who caught a little heat for an ill-fated pass against Oklahoma. You know my man hates that….but not as much as he hates having a big lead at halftime. Just like he hates when his guys don’t listen! We’ve had hundreds of correspondents and some of the most charismatic sports figures on the planet. But only one man who has ever demanded a second segment as a correspondent. And the reason for that is you just can’t cram that much awesome into one. Trust me, they’re making a sequel to 300. And it’s called 1. And it stars Frank Martin.
