We had 110 kids on our
freshmen team. We had to split it into A and B squads. Then we had a Soph, JV and Varsity team as well.
The sheer number of kids that play football alone in HS is staggering, let alone track athletes, soccer players, etc...
And for a lot of people, the fastest you'll ever be is at 18 years old.
It's odd to me that there is such a backlash against the idea that there are a lot of very fast people out there when you consider the raw numbers involved.
