I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Painter and Martin use both Mizzou and Purdue to negotiate off each other. Painter will tell Purdue and Martin what Mizzou is offering him, helping him get a raise at Purdue and Martin negotiate with better info against Mizzou.

To answer your previous question, I know a few guys here and there and hear off-the-record stuff occasionally.
What I hear is that the interest did NOT originate with Mizzou reaching out to Painter, but that it was the other way around. And that it was expressed BEFORE Anderson to Arkie really heated up.
If Painter reached out personally, this isn't the agent fishing for money.
If Missouri replaces Mike ANderson with Matt Painter, it's a MAJOR upgrade. No two ways about it.
